Mission Statement The mission statement of Blackjack Family Ranch, LLLP is to breed, train, and raise quality cutting horses. Through their family partnership, Blackjack Family Partnership, LLLP, the McBride Family recently purchased Blackjack Family Ranch which is located at 1301 Blackjack Road East in Pilot Point, Texas.Dean McBride, the partnership's active partner, was reared on a family farm in Missouri where his folks raised cattle and horses; however, Dean's roots run deep in Texas soil. His mother was born in Paradise, Texas (Wise County) and his parents were married in Dallas, Texas in 1945 after his father returned home from serving in World War II. After marrying, Dean's parents owned and operated ranches in Dalhart, Texas and Woodward, Oklahoma.In 1972, Dean married his high school sweetheart, Linda Engleman, and they had five children, Vanessa, Melanie, Ashley, Adam, and Lauren. They are members of Midway Baptist Church in Aubrey, Texas.Blackjack Family Ranch prides itself in offering a fine selection of quality horses. Their broodmare band currently consists of money earners and producers including four daughters of Freckles Playboy, a daughter of Doc's Oak, and a daughter of Smart Little Lena. The broodmare line continues to grow as other quality foundation mares are added to the list. Blackjack Family Ranch offers an array of quality horses apart from broodmares that include weanlings on up to trained horses ready to compete in aged events. Several of the horses raised on the ranch have gone on to succeed in major events.
